John Johnson and Crew Host K-12 Tech Camp in Iowa

John Johnson, Shadrack Roberts, Somchai Rice and a host of other cyber professionals from the Quad Cities area of Iowa have been hosting cyber/tech camps for nearly a decade now. They organize local security professionals, coordinate with schools and higher education facilities and bring tech education to the masses, often at little to no cost to attendees.

On April 22nd, John and his crew held a K-12 tech camp over the weekend, and utilized the Alliance’s Capture The Flag platform as one of their teaching tools.

With the new toolkit provided by the Alliance, professionals around the country can take advantage of the curriculum and organize similar events.

A special thank you to Somchai Rice for organizing the CTF, the Eastern Iowa Community College Cyber Center and the Davenport West High School Staff for all that you do.
